NHSSF beautifies its 12th home in the Miami area

On April 12, NHSSF, along with its community partners, Home Depot and Grow Care Outdoor Solutions, beautified the twelfth home on its list of 45 homes that will receive exterior improvements.

The program was launched as part of NHSSF’s 45th Anniversary initiative. The goal is to support homeowners in the community with painting and gardening projects that contribute to keeping their homes -and their values- in good shape.

This was our second beautification in Little Havana, Commissioner Eileen Higgin’s district. It was a special day as Commissioner Eileen Higgin’s District Director, Melissa Ortiz presented proclamations to both Home Depot and Grow Care Outdoor Solutions.

Home Depot Team Captain Daniel Thomas and Regional Director Peter Martin were present to receive the proclamation. Grow Care Outdoor Solutions owners, Pedro Bofill and his partner were also present to receive the proclamation.

Home Depot volunteers not only painted Mr. Giron’s house but they also donated a mailbox, barbecue and lawn furniture. As always, Grow Care Outdoor Solutions did an amazing job landscaping the yard.

NHSSF Beautification Team beautifies its eighth home in Coconut Grove

NHSSF, along with Growcare Outdoor Solutions, Home Depot and Miami-Dade County, performed landscaping and exterior painting services at another home in Coconut Grove.

This marks the eighth home in the Coconut Grove area that NHSSF has beautified as part of its 45th Anniversary initiative, the Beautification Program.

One of our goals is to provide innovative solutions to communities facing an affordable housing crisis and residential and business displacement due to climate change, natural disasters, gentrification, and unexpected economic hardships. To this end, we are committed to community revitalization and beautification.

In commemoration of our 45th anniversary we set a goal to paint (exterior) and landscape up to 45 homes throughout South Florida. We are working with The Home Depot stores in various neighborhoods.  Help us to meet our goal of beautifying 45 homes.  We need funding partners and in-kind support to help these 45 families.  Please contact Roberto (Bobbie) Alverez, Robertoa@nhssf.org to offer your support.

NHSSF officially launches the NEXT45 Beautification Program

On Friday, June 9, NHSSF staff and Board Members Martha Garcia and Antonella Vaccaro officially launched the NHSSF Next45 Beautification Program for a resident in Coconut Grove.  We honored and thanked our partners from Home Depot with a proclamation with the support of Commissioner Regalado’s staff.

NHSSF is pledging to beautify up to 45 homes with exterior painting and landscaping.
