Understanding Amendment 3: Resources to Help You Prepare for November 3

This information is originally from Miami Homes For All.

Next Tuesday, November 3rd, Floridians will vote on Amendment 3, a proposed constitutional amendment that could significantly change the state’s property tax system.

Property taxes play an important role in funding essential services across Miami-Dade County, from schools, public safety and disaster response to transit, parks and libraries. While Amendment 3 could provide tax relief for some homeowners, it also raises important questions about how local governments would continue funding these services and what the long-term implications could be for renters, businesses and housing affordability.

At Miami Homes For All, we believe residents deserve access to clear, reliable information to help them make informed decisions. That’s why we’ve gathered resources from our organization and other experts to help you better understand the proposal and its potential impacts before heading to the polls.
